Why something else to do

I was watching Brian clean out the wood burner today and thought, for us, right now, that is such a mundane task but would anybody care at some other point in time?  I definitely wouldn't mind reading about what daily life was like 50 years ago and pictures would be an added bonus.  I love the Little House on the Prairie books and history shows on TV for that reason.
I mentioned it to Brian when he came in and we started talking about it and he said that it is crazy to think about the technolgy that has come around just in our lifetime and that our grandparents could not have even imagined most of it.  I told him I thought about starting a blog to document what we do now and then maybe yearly print it off in book form to read in the future and he didn't shoot it down so I thought what the heck, nothing to lose and lets face if I wasn't writing I'd probably just be watching TV anyhow.
So this is me, posting maybe once a week, writing and showing pictures of something we do whether it be daily, weekly or once a year.

  1. This is slightly off-topic, but don't you find yourself thinking a TON about Little House during the winter months? It must be that Long Winter book. Imagine...To be inside one big room for ALL THOSE MONTHS. Just churning butter all day and sharing a tin cup with your sister. Tough times on the prairie. :)
